These days many a couple meet by sliding into DMs. For Franky + Victoria, who met over 10 years ago, they have old-school MSN to thank after they were introduced on the messenger service by a then-mutual friend.
They stayed in touch and started dating. A decade later, and they were on holiday at East Bedarra Island in the Whitsundays, with its own private beach. While Victoria headed inside, Franky prepped himself with the ring and a bottle of champagne. Victoria says:
“When I walked back out onto the beach, he must have been so nervous, he was standing there with a bottle of unopened champagne and when I walked out, he accidentally prematurely popped the champagne open before he had even said anything! I say because he was nervous, he says it was because he was so confident I would say yes!”
Franky + Victoria were excited to become husband + wife, looking forward to making the ultimate commitment to each other. They had a beautiful ceremony at Sergeants Mess, celebrating their union with their family and friends. On a day with a forecast of rain, it ended up being all sunshine and smiles. We took photos around the grounds and returned to Sergeants Mess for their beautiful reception where they partied the night away!
