“Mark Jay Photography are truly the best photographers out there. They felt kind of like family, in the best way possible”

Nicholas + Emily met through mutual friends. Emily admits, the first time she saw Nick, he had caught her eye. They followed each other on Instagram and things took off when Emily asked Nick out…twice.

It didn’t take long for Nick to catch on though and on their third anniversary they planned a sunrise picnic with their friends. Emily’s suspicious grew when she was given instructions on what to wear and was being rushed out the door, which was very unlike Nick. “We get to our picnic spot (Little Bay, my favourite place ever) and Nick’s friend meets us at the top of the stairs. I could feel Nick started to get nervous which made me even more suspicious. We start walking down the stairs and Nick covers my eyes (come on…). We finally get to the beach where he has organised a beautiful red carpet & picnic setup. He got on one knee, ring box in hand. He was shaking so bad I’m surprised the ring didn’t fall out. Obviously the answer was YES!”

Nick + Emily were married at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. “Walking down the aisle was the most magical part of the day. Seeing each other and saying, “Wow, the day is really here” stands out the most to us”.

When it came to their wedding photos, Emily says: “We wanted a wedding photographer who was able to capture the natural moments, the ones that truly encapsulate us as a couple”. With that in mind, we took our bridal party for their photos around Barangaroo, with laughs and fun along the way. Emily says:

“Mark Jay Photography are truely the best photographers out there. They felt kind of like family, in the best way possible. The experience was made easy & fun, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day!”

Nick + Emily celebrated their reception at Orso in Mosman. They went for a neutral, minimal, yet modern theme with a touch of pink to match Emily’s wedding gown.

They spent the rest of their night dancing and having fun.  “Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives, filled with enough laughter and happiness to last us a lifetime”.
