Robert + Romena’s shared interest in sport is where their story begins with the pair meeting through Oztag. It was not long after the pair started dating, that Robert knew he wanted to pop the question.
Robert proposed while the couple were away in beautiful Port Douglas. Robert proposed on day one of the trip so the pair could spend the rest of their holiday soaking up their engagement before returning home. After arriving in Port Douglas, Romena was poolside enjoying a mojito whilst Robert was setting up their hotel room with roses and their favourite photos together. As soon as they entered the room, Robert dropped to one knee, leaving Romena overjoyed!
In the lead-up to their wedding, Robert and Romena shared that they were most excited about dancing the night away surrounded by their closest family and friends, creating unforgettable memories and celebrating their love.
Surrounded by family and friends, Robert + Romena exchanged their vows at the beautiful St Brigid’s in Marrickville. We went for our photoshoot around Sydney’s Hyde Park and Romena says, “I don’t think I stopped smiling for a second that day”
When we asked the couple why they chose Mark Jay Photography for their wedding, Romena revealed she had been a long-time fan of our work, saying, “I’ve had you guys saved on my Instagram since 2019!”
Robert + Romena joined their family and friends for their reception at The Eveleigh. They entered the room to the sounds of drums and the celebrations continued into the night, with the newlyweds and their guests dancing away.
